Eastern State Penitentiary: Terror Behind the Walls

So last night we decided to check out the Eastern State Penitentiary’s Terror Behind the Walls Haunted House. It was so awesome. I had never been to the ESP before and since I love all things seasonal, this was perfect entertainment for me! The prison itself is so beautiful at night, I can’t wait to go back for the daytime tour and check it out during the day. We got in line for tickets at 8:00 and ended up getting tickets for the 11:30-12:00 time slot. Three hours to kill = hanging out at the bars across the street. We hit up The Urban Saloon and Jack’s Firehouse. So much fun. After a few hours at the bars, we got in our time slot line for the Haunted House. While waiting in line, people were walking around scaring people.

Here is a pic of some dude hiding in the bushes, he scared the crap out of me, and another girl that was walking around freaking people out:

Here is a picture of me and a scary dude I made friends with in line:

I can’t wait to get back there SOON for the daytime tour! There is so much history at the ESP. Its just such cool architecture with such a great story behind who has stayed there. Its definitely on my Philly To Do ASAP list!
