I totally lucked out with my room at the hotel with a slight view of Pennsylvania Ave. I got a pretty sweet view of the Washington Monument, I got to see police patrolling all hours of the night, cars being towed Inauguration Eve, and I got to wake up to a crowd of people trying to get into a check point for the parade viewing area. It was a very happening side of the hotel. Below are some pictures from my room and there are two at the bottom of the hotel lobby, which I thought was beautifully decorated
