Homemade Donuts

I saw this recipe for baked donuts on Meghann‘s blog the other day, and was so pumped. She got her recipe here and modified it a little. The original recipe made baked banana donuts, but Meghann used applesauce to make a different flavor. I enjoy both banana’s AND applesauce so I made half of each.

Here is the beginning of the process, mixing a bowl for the Banana’s and one for the applesauce:

Applesauce donuts! Yum!

I attempted to make chocolate icing to top off the donuts by melting chocolate chips, but that did not turn out so well. They kind of burned in the microwave. I will head out later and pick up some icing and show pics of the donuts all pretty! They turned out really well. I think I like the banana ones best. Defiantly a quick and easy recipe with some yummy results!

Awesome! I bet these are a lot lighter than those cakey donuts. I am dying to try them now.
