So I recently made a purchase at my beloved Amazon.com. I picked up a few books off my goodreads.com to-read list: 1) Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver for the Food Blogger Book Club started by bender 2) Geek Love by Katherine Dunn for Prose Hos: A Book Club for Humans on Twitter from Girl’s Gone Child 3) Fit from Within by Victoria Moran because I have read nothing but good things about it. I ordered those three books and I am really excited about them.
This morning, I get an email from Amazon.com with recommendations from my recent purchase. Apparently from those three books I ordered, they think the next best book for me to read will be:
“Fat, Broke & Lonely No More: Your Personal Solution to Overeating, Overspending and Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places”
ummm…….what the hell?! How do those three book listed above equal THAT recommendation? I have to say I was kind of insulted. I am not fat, broke OR lonely.
I totally had a flashback from Sex & The City when Charlotte gets that book on divorce and then throws it out the window when she sees what Amazon was suggesting her to get next. Seriously, someone needs to do a better job monitoring their suggestions for future purchases!
