I started my day off with one of these babies. A fabulous green monster. 4 cups of spinach, 1 cup almond milk and a banana. I was sad I forgot to add flax seeds! It was still a killer smoothie. I can’t wait for mine tomorrow morning. I actually look forward to them each a.m.
For lunch I tried out one of the meals eDiets sent to me.
I tried out the Turkey Roast with Savory Sweet Potatoes and Mixed Vegetables. I also had a salad. I must be honest, I was not a fan of the eDiets. I am just not a person that eats meat unless I prepare it, or unless it’s legit. I never eat frozen or pre-prepared meat if I can help it. This was no different. I didn’t try the turkey but even if I did eat meat like that, it honestly didn’t look too great. I tried the veggies and potatoes and I wanted to like them, but they weren’t very good either. I am not sure what it was, but it wasn’t a very good meal. There wasn’t much flavor to any of it. I pretty much only ate my salad, which rocked!
Also for 310 calories I feel you could get a better, more nutritious meal. But I guess this is for people who don’t have time to prepare meals themselves, so that may be why. I just always like to see where my food comes from and I just like to make most of it myself. Maybe the breakfast or dinner they sent me will be better!
At the end of the day, I headed over to Rhino Bar in Georgetown for Happy Hour with my lacrosse team. It was a good time, and I was in major need of some beer!
I definitely did not make good food choices tonight. MB and I had nachos (which pull at my heartstrings when I see them on any menu, they are such a personal fav.) and wings which were part of the lax team/Wednesday special. I can’t remember the last time I went to Wing It Wednesday, wait ok I can, it was when I lived in PA, and that was a while ago. So I thought it was ok to have some wings tonight, and by some I mean 8, so that’s not TOO many! It was great to go to a happy hour downtown in DC and have some fun. I had a great time.
