Good morning sunshines! Thank goodness it’s Thursday! I have been having the WORST time getting up this week. It has been seriously ROUGH! My sleep schedule has been totally screwed up because of all the partying from this past weekend. I definately need a day of sleeping in on Saturday. My Zooma Half Marathon starts at 7:00AM on Sunday, so I won’t be expecting any sleeping in then! I would rather do the race earlier than later because it may get too hot, so I will just have to plan on doing all my resting on Saturday.
Boyfriend and I got a hotel in downtown Annapolis Friday and Saturday night, so we will be down there hanging out and relaxing. Annapolis is really pretty so I am excited to explore down there with boyf! The race is only about an hour from my house in VA, but I wouldn’t want to get up CRAZY early on Sunday. I doubt I would have a fabulous race if I had to get up at 4:00am.
In preparation for my race this week, I have been having ‘Heavy on the Green’ Monsters every morning this week. It has consisted of my usual fare, spinach, almond milk, banana, flax seeds, wheat berries and chia seeds. I have upped my green in the monster, putting a few extra handfuls of spinach in there, since I have a ginormous bag to get through, and I could use the extra green in my life!
I am going later to pick up my race packet! It makes everything more official when you have your race bib. I also love getting all the additional information about the race, the extra goodies and obviously if the shirt is awesome, it makes my day! I am picking up my packet at a running store I have never been too, so I am excited to check that out as well! Happy Thursday to all!
