Everyone in the blog world is posting about their morning routines, and I am so jealous. I have to ride the metro every morning, and my commute takes a while. I am so jealous of everyone that can run in the morning, and blog in the morning and even just make a relaxing breakfast. Is that too much to ask?!
Everythink listed happens in that order, give or take a few minutes or so. It is definately not very exciting. I would LOVE to get up at 5:00 and pound out a 30 minute run or something. I think it would totally jump start my day, and I would feel awesome throughout the day. Or would it make me more tired throughout the day? Would that cause me to rush around even more than I already do? Is it even light out at 5:00 in Northern Virginia. Weather.com says sunrise is at/around 6:00. Is it ‘safe’ to run that early? Obviously I live in a nice location, but you never know about those ‘crazies’ lurking in the bushes when its dark out. Ok, thats me being neurotic, but you get what I am saying! Maybe I should man up tomorrow and get my butt in gear and get out there. I like running in the evening and I spend my whole day excited about it, and looking forward to it, but around here, its been freaking raining all night, it just sucks. I want a nice, relaxing sunrise run, but I am not sure I can have it with my schedule. Thoughts? Helpful hints? Suggestions?Anyone else out there have the same issues?

My morning routine looks a bit like yours!
I don’t run in the morning when it’s dark in my neighborhood. I don’t know; I get scared easily…
I get paranoid about running in the dark too. Besides the fact that there are ‘crazies’ lurking everywhere, my eyesight is really bad even with contacts and so running while its dark is a really bad idea for me.
I read in a magazine that running later in the day is better than running in the morning because if you go to bed late and wake-up early just to run you’ll end up tired thru the day, because your body didnt get enough rest. You need your beauty sleep! I would say stick to the afternoon/early evening run.
My routine is not dissimilar to yours!
