I’m siiiiiiiiiiick. And it sucks. Bad cough, sore throat, stuffy/runny nose, fatigue, the WORKS. This is totally not a good time for me to get sick. Hello! I have the Zooma Half Marathon (my FIRST Half Marathon) in 18 days. At least I have the 10 mile race under my belt. At least I know I can get THAT far. It’s those last 3 miles that make me nervous~ This weekend should be my longer runs before I start to taper, but I haven’t been able to do much this week and it is making me angry. I am totally psyching myself out mentally about this race and me being sick, and I need to just chill out and get better first and then go from there. Because if I keep trying to push it, I KNOW the race will not go well, and obviously I don’t want that! Dr. kAtemOnster told me no running until Friday. I may get some yoga action in between then and now, but I really am going to take it easy and get some rest!
Does anyone else out there take Olive Leaf Extract? I megadose on it all the time when I am sick, and it usually gives whatever ails me the one-two punch. Seriously, this stuff rocks. But this time it isn’t doing the trick. I went to the doctor and she said it’s just a bad virus (unless the strep test she took comes back positive tomorrow!) and I am just going to have to suffer through it. I am still taking Olive Leaf, because I really feel it will help me get better faster. Here are some stats on it:
