Wedding Weekend Fun!
Yesterday, I had a joyous wedding to attend. This is the first wedding I have been too that it was actually for someone I grew up with, went to preschool and high school and college with. Someone who is my age, and met her now husband when we were all at Villanova together. So weird that now I have 2 other weddings coming up from close friends. We are growing up so fast!
This wedding was certainly an EVENT. The mother of the bride runs/publishes/edits/owns a local engagement/wedding magazine for the DC, Northern Virginia, Maryland area. This is the magazine where I was in the magazine. Check that out here. Since the mother of the bride KNOWS weddings inside and out, she certainly had tons of connections, and she totally put them to good use for her daughters wedding.
Here is the happy couple at the altar and then dancing the night away:
Boyf and me at the cocktail hour. The reception was held at Oxon Hill Manor, and it was so beautiful!
Boyf and his college buddies:
D. Whit and Me and Boyf and I again. I got to use my curler again, and I think the hair turned out pretty good!
The reception was beyond beautiful. There were long tables with flowers and huge candles, it was very southern.
With the blushing bride. I loved her dress!
Villanova Friends:
This was an ode to high school formal pictures. We thought we were hilarious, it may have been the many sangria's:
Such a fun and glorious weekend down in DC. I had a lot of fun, and it was such a beautiful wedding.
