BIG NEWS!

I’m moving back to Philadelphia! Philly 012

I know most of you may not know but here is my deal: I went to school at Villanova University in Philadelphia, PA. Boyf and I started dating my senior year there. Post graduation I lived and worked in the Philadelphia area for two years, and boyf did the same. A year ago, I moved back home to Northern Virginia to be with my family and some friends that were still in the area. The plan was for boyf to get a job and move down to VA with me, but the economy hit the floor and that just didn’t happen.

We were both getting tired of driving up and down interstate 95 every weekend to visit each other and knew one of us had to move.  Even though I had just moved down to VA, I work at a company that is located all over the world, so it made the most sense for me to transfer back up to Philadelphia. I didn’t think it would happen as fast as it did, but I am happy to have everything pretty much figured out!

Boyf and I decided to get an apartment together about two months ago, and we knew the move it date would be around July 1, but we didn’t know how long it would take me to get up there. He is moving in this weekend, and I am moving all my stuff up during the next 3 weekends. I will be ‘officially’ up in Philadelphia July 4th weekend.

I am so excited! We have been apart for a year and it has been rough. It will be nice to actually have dinner with him, or watch a movie together and just hang out during the week. It’s the little things you take for granted and when you don’t have them anymore they mean the most!

Our new place is so cute. It is a brand new apartment, no one has ever lived in it before. The complex has a pool in it (!!) a gym (!!!!) even a dog park (!!!!!!!) So perfect. The apartment has built in bookshelves, wine racks, a huge walk in closet and a soaking tub! Those are just a few of my favorite things there. I can’t wait to set everything up. I am totally going to be nesting!

The apartment is not even a mile away from Manayunk and right next to Kelly Drive. I know Sabrina and I have already talked about meeting for runs there! I hope I can still come down for a DC blogger meet up, but I am excited to get to know more Philly bloggers too!

So that’s my big news for now! I am excited about this next chapter in my life. I can’t wait to get settled in up there. It’s going to be so much fun. Boyf, Jackson and I are going to have the best time ever!

Organic To Go Cupcakes!

Have you ever been to an Organic To Go? There is one right next to where I work, and I have never been inside before today. And today just turned into a glorious day! I had a recommendation to try out the cupcakes there and it was heaven. Absolute heaven! Melt in your mouth, savory icing, perfect amount of sweetness, moist cake HEAVEN! Look at the cute little individual containers that come in:

I may or may not have licked the container clean. NONE of the icing was going to was going to waste. It was SO GOOD! With that being steps away from me everyday, things could get interesting! A cupcake a day would be a bad habit to fall into! I guess I will have to save that field trip for special occasions!

Juice Beauty Review

The wonderful folks at Juice Beauty sent me some of their products to try out. I was so excited when this came in the mail a few weeks ago, but I just have been going non-stop and haven’t had a moment to let my readers know what I thought! In my package was a Hydrating Mist, Cleansing Gel, a Green Apple Peel, and Green Apple Antioxidant Moisturizer. So many fun things to test out! Juice Beauty Skincare Is Up To 95% Certified Organic, which I love. I have never tested out any organic skincare products before, and was excited to see and feel the difference!
The Hydrating Mist is “A harmonic blend of certified organic, antioxidant-rich white and red grape juices, soothing aloe vera, nutrient-rich rosehip, grapeseed oil and vitamins to hydrate and balance skin’s natural moisture for a fresh complexion.” I loved it! I had been looking for a hydrating mist recently, but nothing caught my eye so I am so excited this works for me. Not only does it hydrate your face, but it also balances and tones. To use it you just lightly mist on a clean face and it wakes up your face.
The Cleansing Gel is a “refreshing blend of certified organic, antioxidant-rich cherry and lemon juices, purifying botanicals and soothing cleansers will gently remove impurities to clarify and balance, while protecting skin’s natural moisture.” Some cleansing products have left my face not feeling so great in the past, but this stuff left my face feeling fresh, cleaned and very alive! I feel like my skin has a slight glow to it from using this new gel as well! You gotta love that!
The Green Apple Peel is “designed for sensitive skin, this refining hydroxy-acid complex of certified organic apple, lemon, grape juices and raw cane sugar exfoliate for visibly improved skin tone and texture. Vitamin antioxidants and essential nutrients hydrate and nourish fresh skin for a healthy, beautiful complexion.” I get nervous with some facial masks/peels because most of them leave my face dried out but this product didn’t do that at all. There was a slight tingling sensation when first applied, but it said to expect that in the directions so I didn’t freak out. It smelled good too!
The cherry which topped my facial beauty sundae was the Green Apple Antioxidant Moisturiser. “This nutrient-rich certified organic moisturizer combines a brightening complex of organic apple, lemon and grape juices, nutrient-rich essential fatty acids, and age-defying alpha lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, vitamin C, peptides and DMAE to replenish, nourish and firm aging skin morning and night.” I let that soak in after my facial pampering and it was just very smooth and silky. I loved it.
Thank you Juice Beauty for this amazing opportunity to test out your products!
