Happy 60th Dad!

Last night, my parents house was party central. All day everyone was getting everything ready for the big night. We had about 60 people or so at the house. It was nice to see familiar faces from my childhood. Here are some pictures before the party- my mom, me and Jackson and my dad, brother, mom and me and Jackson.  moving 137 moving 138

Charles and I and Jackson. Jackson had on a black shirt that said “Security” on the back. He was the bouncer that greeted everyone at the door!moving 141

Before the party Jackson was chilling under the food table, waiting for people to drop food!moving 147

Here are some eats from the party – there was a lot of BBQ, my dad’s favorite and all the fixings.

This is my dad and the big picture is him in a photo booth when he was 5 years old. My mom had it blown up for the party. I think it is so cute. Happy Birthday Pops!moving 145

The party also had a little drama. Jackson was hanging out on the back porch, getting love from all the guests. Everyone was petting him, giving him belly rubs and hugs, he was having a great time. Our back yard is open, so I was keeping an eye on Jackson while talking to all the guests. When it was time for the cake, everyone went inside, and someone told me Jackson already went in. I look around for him, and can’t find him, so I ask some people to help me look for him. We look everywhere, no dice, so we look outside, and its getting dark, and he is a small little black dog, so I am starting to freak. Then I see him, about 2 blocks down, wandering around. I was so upset. It wasn’t like he ran away, he was just walking along the path he usually walks every night, but he was alone and so much could have happened. I was very upset.

My mom was out talking with a neighbor this morning and he told her that he saw Jackson wandering around last night and he almost got hit by a car!!  Seriously, if anything happened to that little puppy I would be so upset. Thankfully he is alright, nothing happened, but it was very scary. Jackson won’t be outside without a leash on anytime in the near future, you can be sure of that!!

Glad Jackson is okay! I would have totally freaked out… my little dogs have gotten out of our back patio to go run to the other dogs but it always scares me.

Happy 60th to your dad! It sounds like the party was a blast, minus almost losing Jackson. I would have been really upset too. Thank goodness he was okay!
