Therapeutic Running

I went for a little run yesterday. It was National Running Day, so I had to, obviously. I kept it slow and light, and I was running in between the raindrops trying to beat the storm home. I went sans technology, a la Rose, and it was great. After the day I had, it felt good to get out there and think, without music blaring in my ears, without checking my Garmin every 5 seconds to check on my pace, without a 5 pound camelback weighing me down. It felt good. I liked it. A lot. I need to make a point to do it more often because it turned my 20 something minute run into therapy session, where I could just think. I found myself realizing that I had run quite a bit without even paying attention to where I was going, and that felt good.

If you would like to read about the Australians tragic death, it is all over the internet. It makes it more real with his picture on the page. So sad.

I am heading down to Bethany Beach tonight for the weekend. I am going with Mich and I am very excited. I know it will be a lot of fun. It will be nice to relax down there. I am hoping the fresh salty air will help my allergies, because I am still struggling in that department.

Don’t forget my Sound Sleep giveaway ends tomorrow! Let me know what you think of Jackson’s new ‘do!

I'm glad you had such a therapeutic run. That's great that you went without technology–it's much easier to connect to nature that way and just let everything flow. I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Take care <3
