Don Pablo’s Dinner

Have you ever heard of Don Pablo’s? I used to go to this place with my family ALL THE TIME when I was younger. There was one about 5 minutes away from our house and it was our favorite Mexican restaurant. A while back, the one close by closed by and we were very sad. When I was talking to my mom about places I wanted to go to for my birthday dinner with the family, Don Pab’s came up and my fabulous mom mention she had seen one about 20 minutes away. I was so pumped. Don Pablo’s here we come!moving 234

I love Mexican food, I am not sure if it is more for the food, or the margaritas or the chips and salsa. Ole! I love it all! Don Pablo’s had a $2.99 special for margarita’s, but they weren’t as good as the full priced ones. I always say, you get what you pay for! The chips and salsa were fabulous as always. I love the salsa SO MUCH!

Birthday Cheers!

I love the decor at Don Pablo’s, the exposed ceilings and the lights are so much fun to eat under. Ole again!

Since I didn’t like the $2.99 margarita, I opted for the $5.99 one. Well worth it, and it was my birthday dinner after all.

We love the chips, me, pops and Meeksmoving 245

Dad stealing a sip of my large and in charge margarita. 18 ounces yo!  moving 247

My mom and I split a Pick 3 combo. We each had a cheese and onion enchilada and split a spicy beef taco. Refried beans and rice were on the side. This was more than enough for me after the ‘rita’s and the glorious chips and salsa. moving 248 Check out that portion control. I love it! This picture doesn’t include the half of a taco I had, but I was pretty proud at how I held myself back. I am so full right now.

I had a nice dinner with the family tonight. It was nice to spend a night out with everyone before I take off in the morning.

A Visit to the Firehouse

Check this out – Luna Bar is giving away a new Luna Cookie. Get yours here. I just signed up for mine. Can’t wait to try out the new flavor!

Today, my dad and I went out for a little father/daughter lunch action at Firehouse Subs. This is pretty new to our area, but I love it. moving 225

I love the firehouse theme to the place, but I also enjoy the food. They heat to subs without a microwave, using a steamer. It adds a distinct moisture and I love the it! It’s so tasty. moving 222

I got a turkey sub on wheat “fully involved” which means loaded with all the fixins – Mayo, Mustard, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and a Dill Spear on the side. Only I get mine without tomato because that’s how I roll. Check out this bad boy of a sandwich. moving 223

I love the decor at this place. I took this picture during lunch time and it was packed. I felt a little weird snapping pictures of 40+ people eating lunch. It may not have gone over well with the lunch time rush. But they have this huge painting of a fire truck at a fire. They also have jackets and boots all over the place as well. And I love the Dalmatian tables. It’s a great theme they have going on. Is there a Firehouse Subs in your area? Any thoughts?moving 224

I also won a Naturally More, Peeled Snacks and a Few of my Favs Giveaway from Erica over at I Run Because I Can. Check out all this loot, I know Jackson sure is!

I got 2 containers of Naturally More Peanut Butter – Almond and Organic flavors, both of which I haven’t tried yet, so I am super pumped for that!

Erica also threw in some amazing other treats – chocolate chip clif bar, peanut butter pretzel mojo bar, kashi go lean crunchy chocolate almond bar, probar apple cinnamon crunch, amazing grass energybar an oikos coupon and a MaraNatha coupon. I can’t wait to try all these new goodies! Thanks Erica! You rock!moving 221

Back to more packing. I have had a pretty productive morning. I did laundry, cleaned my car, did some more cleaning/ packing/ organizing. The list never ends. I can’t believe this time tomorrow I will be up in my new apartment with Boyf. So pumped!

Tonight I am going out to dinner with my family for my belated birthday dinner/farewell dinner. It’s going to be a good one!
