I saw this in the grocery store the other day and it seemed pretty awesome. No baking involved, 15 minute prep time, I had all the ingredients, and it is a chocolate and peanut butter dessert! Win!
Step 1- Mix the crust mix and 4 tbsp. melted butter until crumbs are equally moistened. Press firmly on the bottom of the pan
Step 2- Pour 1 1/3 cups of cold milk in large mixing bowl. Add filling mix and peanut butter.
Beat with electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on high for 3 minutes
Step 2.5 – Lick the peanut butter leftover from the bowl. Yum! (ok, it’s not part of the ‘official’ recipe, but its part of MY cooking rules!)
Step 3- Spread peanut butter filling over crust
Step 4 – Add chocolate topping – Refrigerate 1 hour
Step 5 – Serve & Enjoy!
I admit, the crust on the bottom was slightly messy and hard to keep together. That was the only downside to the dessert. The peanut butter filling in the middle is light and full of flavor. The chocolate topping is hard and goes great with the filling and the crunchy crust.
Food porn. Check this out!
It made 9 squares. They are pretty good size too. I will enjoy these for dessert the rest of the week. Totally satisfies my peanut butter chocolate cravings! These were waiting for boyf when he got home from work today. I hope he liked them!
