Nomadic State of Mind

I was driving up I-95 North yesterday and I saw the Nomadic State of Mind truck/van driving by. I said to boyf, “I know that brand!” I was just speaking to a representative from the company last week! It was very weird that we drove by that car on the highway yesterday and I came home to a package from them!

Check out these rope sandals I got.  They are made in a small out of work coffee farm in Nicaragua. The Nomadic State of Mind employees taught a small community [in Nicaragua ] how to make sandals in hope to produce a job for the community and create a flow of income! So amazing! Such a great story

I put these on yesterday when I got them, and I didn’t take them off. They are so comfortable and so soft. I also think they will look totally cute with jeans! Each sandal is hand made too.

Here is what they look like from the side. These babies are machine washable. You can toss them in the washer/dryer. Super easy!

The Nomadic State of Mind desire  is to create a product where there was virtually no waste- they are almost there – about 85% of the waste from making the sandals can be recycled into other products. I love that! As you know, I am attempting to cut back on my own wastefulness.

You can also take the back strap and flip it around the front to make the sandals slip on. I feel like my feet look fat here! Ha-ha. But I still think they are cute and super comfortable this way too!

The sandals came with some additional information about the company, as well as this sticker. I love their Top 10 list!
