A little over a month ago, before my big move, I received a pair of Zensah compression leg sleeves to try out. I was super pumped to try these out and I have been using them the past month during my NYC ING Half Marathon training (t-minus 10-days!!). I have used them to run outside, inside on the treadmill, and post running for recovery. I enjoy the fact that they are pink too!
I love the fact that on the package it says - WARNING: May Lead to Ultra Comfort and Improved Performance
From the Zensah website:
The sleeves are made with Zensah Fabric which has silver helping to regulate skin temperature and fight bacteria. The sleeves can be worn during training or for recovery to increase oxygen blood flow to the muscles of the lower leg. The more oxygen the muscles receive the faster they recover, allowing athletes to push the envelope in their training. The Zensah Calf/Shin sleeve is ideal for runners, cyclists and triathletes and anyone else who is on their feet. It can be worn during training, recovery or for traveling.
I was really intrigued by the leg sleeves when I first heard about them. I suffer from shin splints and I was most interested in seeing if the sleeves would help with them at all. The sleeves are supposed to increase oxygen blood flow to your legs, your muscles will last longer and recover faster.
I love the fact that they are sleeves and not socks. They are the perfect tightness, the feel fabulous on my legs when I run. The sleeves are moisture wicking and so even though it has been super hot in Philly this summer, they do not make me feel extra hot or uncomfortable. The only thing I worry about is tan lines! 🙂
I really feel that my legs can breathe in them. It really doesn’t feel like I have anything on when I run, but when I have really noticed my legs feel so much better post running. They feel fresher so much faster for the next run!
I love the detail in the sleeves. You can really see the pin point compression where the sleeves support the muscle. My calves and shins felt a lot of extra support from the sleeves.
I totally love my compression sleeves. I am sure these will also help keep my legs a tad warmer in the fall/winter when it gets chilly outside too!
