I don’t know which view I like better – the Philly skyline by daylight, sunset, or moonlight. They are all so gorgeous in my opinion. Which is your favorite?
After our fun tailgating in the sun, we trekked over to the Susquehanna Bank Center and claimed our lawn seat area. We sat in the same area we sat in last week (for the Rascal Flatts concert). I totally have gotten my money’s worth on these lawn chairs!
While waiting for the concert to start I snacked on a Philly soft pretzel with mustard. It was heavenly.
And then Dave took the stage -
Obviously I spent most of the time watching the screens in the back of the lawn section because we were pretty far back.
Here are some of our tailgate buddies
I may or may not have snuck in a La Croix con vodka 🙂
Let’s just say the crowd was quite diverse. There were so many clearly underage kids drinking and smoking. It was a unique scene. I used to know all the Dave songs back in high school, now not so much. It was still a really good concert, Dave put on a great show, but I really LOVE going to concerts that I know every word to the songs and can sing along! I love my country concerts best!
Randomly during the concert there were fireworks over Penn’s Landing on the other side of the water. Not sure what they were fore, but they were pretty!
More concert fun!
Testing out the zoom lens on my new camera.
WOAH! TOO CLOSE!
Better, but then blurry. Still figuring out how the new camera works.
Hanging out in our lawn chairs. I got these bad boys from K-mart for $4.00 at a random end of summer sale! Worth every penny! It was so nice out during the day, but it got a little chilly when the sun went down. Boyf and I were prepared with our zip-up jackets!
More Dave.
It was a good concert. I wish he played more of his old stuff, but it was still good. It was a great day and night and we had lots of fun with friends! Check out the Philly skyline by night:
Did I mention I am LOVING my new camera. It rocks. Great picture quality for a point and shoot as far as I am concerned.
I also wanted to shout out and congratulate everyone who ran in races today. I know kateMonster did the Queens Half in NYC, and my friend Noodles and DC resident/blogger Quinn ran the Philadelphia Distance run today too! Everyone did great! I am catching up on blog posts from the weekends and everyone got some great running in! Congrats to all! I am motivated to sign up for a few more races before my next Half, so thanks for that!
Jackson says: “Your regularly scheduled food blogging will begin again in the morning. Thank you and have a pleasant evening!”

There is an ampitheater by where I live that has lawn seats as well! It's such a cheap way to enjoy a concert! We have seen Jimmy Buffett twice there =)
