Happy Hump Day to all! Lots going on today for me: Class/Lab and appointments and work and I am going to try to fit breathing somewhere in there. I knew I was going to need a good start to my day, so I had to start my morning off right – with a Green Monster!
Today’s GM was filled with the usual suspects – spinach, bananas, almond milk, chia seeds, wheat berries and flax seeds
I pretty much keep my green monsters consistent. I have tried a few different creations made with strawberries, kiwi’s, blueberries and some other fruits, but it makes my green monsters very thick. I prefer the consistency to be light and smooth.
When I juice my green monsters, I use vegetables only – cucumbers/carrots/spinach/green peppers along with other nutritious veggies. When I make my green monsters in a blender, as shows in this post, spinach is pretty much the only vegetable I use with a focus on other fruits – bananas/kiwis.etc. Both monsters, weather juiced or blended, have very different flavors and tastes – but they are both full of fabulous vitamins and minerals!
