Blueberry Oats & Fabulous Friends

Good Morning! I decided to put some food pictures back on the blog today! I figured a healthy eating/living blog should include some eats! I hope everyone is aware that after my fabulous announcement earlier this week, that some wedding planning is going to creep into my posts every now and then! So stay tuned as I embark on the wonder that is Wedding Planning! I plan to enjoy every minute of it!

This morning I enjoyed some fabulous blueberry oats! I made them the same way I make my banana oats, but instead of bananas, I added some blueberries! If you put the blueberries in at the right time, they get all warm and gooey and then turn your oats purple!

Bananas, Strawberries and Blueberries OH MY! That’s pretty much my favorite fruit combo. I can’t get enough of it!

What’s your favorite fruit combination??

This was my last batch of oats! Eeek! I must go to the store to get some more! I can’t function without my oats!

Check out a few of the awesome Engagement presents I have gotten from my friends! I have the best friends ever, I am so lucky.

My friend and old roommate Kate and her man Noodles got boyf and I a bottle of champagne and some chocolate goodies to celebrate the engagement! How cute is that?? I heart them!

It was so sweet of them! They are such great friends! Love you Kate and Noodles! Boyf and I will enjoy the champagne and chocolate covered strawberries very much!

The loot included: Real Simple Weddings, Brides magazine, The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner Book, The Bride’s Etiquette Guide, The Ultimate Wedding Idea Book and a totally cute card! How amazing of a friend is Aileen?!? She rocks! Aileen I heart you!!

I also picked up some additional magazines myself. I got Philadelphia Brides and The Knot Pennsylvania. As some of you may know, I just moved back to Philly from Virginia, and that’s where my family is. Lots of decisions as to where the wedding festivities are going to be held! Stay tuned for more info on that!

And also after Sabrina’s recommendation I decided to also pick up Mindy Weiss’  – The Wedding Book! It looks fabulous! So I have lots and lots of reading to do, and not really any idea where to start with this whole process! I plan on making it up as I go!   Picture 309

Any other Wedding book/magazine/website  suggestions are welcome! I need all the help I can get!

Also the Pirate’s Booty Giveaway winner from last week is Julie from Savvy Eats! Congrats girl! Email me your information and  your Treasure Chest of Booty will be on its way! Aaaarghhhh!  🙂

I really like Martha Stewart Weddings, but I'm into that kind of thing. I guess you need to like to DIY.

Ooh – I remember all of those wedding magazines and books.

    You should check out: http://www.weddingbee.com

It was one of my favorite wedding websites.

Those are great gifts! Your friends are super sweet!

The thing that helped me most when I was wedding planning was a 3 ring binder. I filled it with tabs and sheet protectors and added information as I got it. I had one of those pre-made wedding binders but making my own was much more helpful!
