We made it to Hershey yesterday! If you follow me on twitter you know of all the fabulously fun things we did yesterday, but I shall save that for another post. Stay Tuned!
Here is a recap of our car travels and eats from yesterday. Boyf and I hit up Starbucks at the beginning of the trip. I got myself a fabulous NF Pumpkin Spiced Latte. It was Jackson approved.
We were driving through some rural countryside. At one point, a horse and buggy passed by us! It was craziness.
I snacked on some Trader Joe’s Gummy Tummies. They were pretty good. I have a soft spot in my heard for all things sour and gummy, but these were somewhat healthy. They had no preservatives or artificial flavors! Have you ever tried them before? I liked them!
Boyf and I also cracked open a bag of BBQ Pirate’s Booty. It was fabulous. I really liked the BBQ flavor, it was very tasty! During the car ride, Jackson split his time between sitting on my lap, and lounging on the backseat.
Check out all the cows we passed. I made boyf stop the car to snap a photo. We looked like we had never seen a cow before! haha. MOO!
Jackson isn’t used to being up all day. He had to sneak in his afternoon nap on boyf’s coat.
After all our afternoon fun (which I will blog about later!) we hit up a local hot stop – TJ Rockwell’s. Boyf kept trying to find places to eat on his iPhone Urban Spoon app, and this was the only place that kept coming up! Also 3 people in the area recommended it to us, so we went to see what all the fuss was about. When we got there I enjoyed some local brews – first an Appalachian Brewing Co. (ABC) Wheat Ale. It was flavored with a lemon. I loved it!
I wasn’t too hungry so boyf ordered an appetizer and entree for himself and I just had a little bit of what he ordered. We started off with the crab dip. It was yummy, but it could have gone without the massive bread bowl!
I love my mugs of beer!
Boyf enjoyed his brew too. Check out the awesome Rhino in the background! For the entree we split chicken fajitas.
I filled my plate up with lots of great veggies. It was yummy!
We are officially in Chocolate Town USA. All the streets are named accordingly. I love it! I totally want to live on Chocolate Avenue, don’t you??
Off to enjoy the day! We have the wedding later today, so stay tuned for some more fun posts from our weekend away!
