Yesterday when boyf went on his killer shopping trip, I got hooked up with some massive pomegranates. I haven’t had any yet this season but I have been pretty eager to sink my teeth into one!
I just love the fabulous red color to them. This one was super shiny and looked like it was just glowing. I am pretty sure it was excited to be my morning snack!
Do you know how to cut a pomegranate? If not, I can walk you through the way my mom taught me how to do it.
First you slice off one end, towards the top. Then you gaze into the pomegranate and check out its glorious beauty! This one is a keeper!
After slicing it up into sections, take one of the sections, submerge it in a bowl of cool water, and pluck out the arils (seeds)
The skin bits should float to the top and the seeds will stay down at the bottom. This makes it easy to scoop out the skin and then drain the water from the bowl.
Then your arils are RTE (ready-to-eat!) I just LOVE the flavor and taste and little bit of crunch in them. They are so much fun to put in all different types of food and drink.
What’s your favorite way to enjoy a pomegranate?

Our grocery had a HUGE display of these last weekend. i bought one and have no idea what to do with it. Might just eat them by the handful. Or Caitlin's pancakes also looked like a good option!
That's the best trick EVER!!! I usually just sit in front of the tv picking them out individually. Thanks for the tip! Hope you have a great weekend!!!
I am actually not a huge fan of pomegranates.. *don't kill me*. I'm just not big on the seeds, they remind me of popcorn kernels. I'm so strange
genious Idea!! I LOVE poms, but always hate taking the seeds out!
I love them in yogurt or in healthy oatmeal pancakes!!
Thanks for the tip! I love poms but had no idea how to cut them up.
