The Day After The Proposal

Do you think it was my sassy pink heels?

(which shall now be known as my lucky pink shoes!)

Picture 261

Or was it the bling-bling in my top?

Whatever the reason…this weekend was history!

Being the freak that I am, I went back to the exact spot of our engagement during the daylight hours earlier this week to snap some photos of the exact spot it happened in! I want to remember this feeling and the moment forever!

NOTE: If you are sick of staring at pictures of my hand, skip this post. Normal food blogging shall resume shortly :) Picture 298

After our glorious dinner we strolled along the walkway on the left under the gazebo to check out Boathouse Row.

Picture 296

So pretty!

Picture 297

In that corner is the exact spot that boyf got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Horray!

Picture 264

It’s right next to the mini waterfall – I love the sound of rolling water.

To one side is the glorious boathouse row. Boyf has since told me he was thinking about proposing on the Philadelphia Zoo balloon, which is flying in the background. He said every time he wanted to take me, the damn balloon wasn’t flying! It doesn’t go up in the air if there is the slightest bit of wind! I am a little fearful of heights anyways, so it worked out for the best, but I still want to go up in the balloon one day! Boyf was just full of great ideas for this!

To the other side of the platform we were on is the Philadelphia Art Museum, the fabulous Water Works Restaurant we just dined at, and the rest of the Philly skyline.

Close-up of the restaurant. Our table was outside under the tent.

Oh HEY! I haven’t shown my ring yet in this post!   There it is! Picture 273

I know I already showed a picture of the Philly skyline, but this picture has my ring in it! Woohoo!

Picture 277

Hello Gorgeous!

Picture 278

I apologize if you are sick of my ring pictures, but I am just so excited, and these pictures (to me) are just so pretty!

My ring against the blue sky…

  Picture 284

Can you just take a minute and think to yourself what I looked like out there the other day, taking pictures of my hand all around the place! People seriously must have thought I had lost my mind!

Picture 285   But I don’t care what people think! I am so excited and I will have these awesome pictures foreverrrrrr!

Picture 290

My ring goes fabulously against the green grass! YAY!

Picture 293

Ok, I think I have officially hit my ring/hand picture quota! I also believe I need a manicure STAT! No more hand pictures for a little while. I think I can hold out!

Picture 295

I also wanted to send out a big “THANK YOU” to the blog world! Everyone’s wonderful comments and thoughtful messages have seriously made my days so much brighter! Each kind word sent to me has been so greatly appreciated! So thank you to all! Stay tuned for food blogging! I also have some fun contests up my sleeves!
