The Pre-Proposal Story At the Philly Zoo

I have so much to fill everyone in on its not even funny! I have about 4 posts just from this past weekend waiting in the wings, I also have giveaways lined up, and reviews to-do, but I wanted to share all the events from Sunday while everything is still fresh in my mind. I am more excited than ever to have this blog because I will always have my engagement story complete with many pictures to look back on!

So after the weekend in Hershey (which I will post about later) boyf and I come back to Philly early Sunday morning. It was seriously the most beautiful day ever. We had the whole day to do whatever and boyf suggested we bike over to the Philadelphia Zoo.

Love that Philly skyline.

Visiting different Zoos and Aquariums are some of my favorite things to do. I love checking out and learning about all the different animals in their habitats and the Philly Zoo is so close! Just a short 3 mile bike ride away!

The Philly Zoo just put in a whole new ‘cat’ exhibit. The tigers and lions can travel via these cages above where people walk. Its really neat. I was just hoping the cat didn’t have to pee!

Boyf and I split a little lunch – chicken fingers and French fries – not the healthiest meal, but the zoo didn’t have many fabulous options. You gotta do what you got to do.

Then we hit up the cheetah exhibit. These bad boys were pacing from side to side, and where you view the animals isn’t far from where they actually are, and I am pretty sure cheetah’s can jump! Picture 156

I love the picture of boyf about to chomp down on the cheetah

Love me some pink flamingoes!

I always love the monkey exhibit at the zoo. I pretty much could sit there all day and watch them run around. The main gorilla always looks so sad though. I hope he is happy!

Snacktime! Boyf had never had a dippin’ dots so I knew I had to introduce him to it. We had the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor. Yum!

I also heart the penguins. They crack me up.

I love this picture of me. Boyf took this picture just joking around with me. I look so happy in this picture because I truly was.

GREAT pics – made me feel like I was right there with you!! I also love flamingos! My dad is a HUGE Jimmy Buffet fan – he loves EVERYTHING tropical – Hawaiian shirts, parrots, flamingos, tropical drinks, etc. Well, when my oldest daughter was barely a year and a half old, we took her to the Kansas City Zoo and she was SOOO excited when we got to the pink flamingos. She was jumping all around and screaming "MINGOS! MINGOS!!" Everyone in ear shot just looked shocked that this little baby knew what flamingos were, lol. Ah, if they only knew…haha!
