Our First Date 4 Years Later

Fiancé and I were running around like crazy tonight checking out another possibly reception site. The place we checked out was really close to Villanova, but we didn’t fall in love with it. le sigh. We have a list of 5 places we are checking out tomorrow so hopefully we will find the perfect reception site. Stay tuned!

Since it was our anniversary this past week, and we were visiting our old Villanova stomping ground, fiancé suggested we have dinner where we had our first date, 4 years ago!

Our first date was at Kelly’s Tap Room. A Villanova bar at night, but a nice dinner and drinks place during the day. We went and saw Derailed and then grabbed some food at Kelly’s afterwards.

Tonight, much like the night of our first date, we enjoyed some draft beers. I had a Stella and he had a Guinness.

We shared a cup of the potato soup. It was delish!

The night of our first date we both got nice big burgers! Tonight fiancé got one for himself, but I went a different route. He got a mushroom swiss burger, and said it was good, but too big (yet he ate the whole thing!) Oh portion control! At least they didn’t give a massive plate full of fries too!

I had the spinach salad because I was craving some spinach in my life. I haven’t had it in WAY too long. The salad was fresh spinach leaves served with toasted pine nuts, golden raisins, goat cheese with a mustard vinaigrette. It was yummy, but there was a little too much cheese on it! I cleaned my plate like a good little foodie though!pics 820

It was nice to be back at our old stomping ground! I love the Villanova campus, and the Villanova bars, its so nice there! Oh to be in college again! Le sigh!

Off to watch a movie and chill for the rest of the night. I didn’t get in my long run today because I ate lunch too late and wasn’t fully digested. I wasn’t feeling too hot! I really like running in the morning so much better. My body responds to it a lot better too! Plus then its over with first thing and you don’t have to worry about it the rest of the day! It’s a win win situation! Pray for no rain in the morning for me in Philly! I am not a rain runner!

When is  your favorite time to run?

I love running at sunrise and sunset. Not sure why but I feel extra powerful when I am running and watching the sun go up and down :o)

that is so romantic that you two headed back to your old digs. You guys need your own reality show or something :)

On the weekends, I like to run around 9 or 10 am. That way I can still sleep in a bit but have the whole rest of the day to do things after the run.
