World’s 2nd Best Hot Wings

It was another whirlwind weekend that went by way to fast! On Friday, Fiancé, Jackson and I headed up to Scranton Pennsylvania to visit my grandma. She is in a nursing home there and I haven’t seen her much this past year so a visit was long overdue.

Grandma and I had a nice little visit. It was good to see her.

When I was little my brother and I would spend a few weeks every summer with my grandma. One of our all time favorite restaurants is the Windsor Inn – Home of the World’s 2nd Best Hot Wings

I have great memories of coming to this place with my family. My brother met up with fiancé and I for some nice hot wings!

 

I love the wings here. The sauce is pretty amazing. It has to be amazing to get the title of the World’s Second Best!  Obviously this meal isn’t the most health conscious ever, but since I ran 9 miles earlier that morning, I wasn’t all that concerned.

 

The pizza there is also  my favorite pizza ever. I am not sure if its the sauce or the bread, but it is different and better than any pizza I have ever had.

I love that its served on a tray. My brother, fiancé and I had a nice little visit with a great meal on Friday!

On Saturday, fiancé and I went to see This Is It. It was really good, just like everyone has been saying. It was amazing to see MJ in his element. I feel so bad for all the people who put so much work and time and effort into the This Is It concert and never got it see it in realization. I also feel bad for MJ’s family for their loss, but this movie was about the concert that never came to be. Check it out if you haven’t already. The concert would have been amazing.

PS – Check out the ‘medium’ soft drink. Medium my @$$ – it’s huge!!

 

On Sunday, fiancé and I went and checked out a bunch of potential reception sites for the wedding. Reception site shopping is hard!

I have found that I immediately have strong feelings about all the places, which is good. There are some places that I just immediately see and know that its not going to be the place but I have fallen in love with a few reception sites. It’s going to be hard to choose!

At one of the places we checked out there was a “Focusing on the Groom” event that I signed us up for. It was cute. Fiance got a goodie bag full of a Groom’s Wedding Day Survival Kit. There was also lots of manly food and drink and cigars and tuxedos. All that fun stuff.

I am going to post pictures of the reception site that we choose after its all finalized, so stay tuned for that! Check out all the swag that was in fiance’s goodie bag: shaving cream, razor, deodorant, floss, planner, clock, socks and lots of other fun stuff!

As you can see, the weekend was pretty busy to say the least!
