Last night I had a super secret assignment to take care of on South Street in Philadelphia.
Ok, it wasn’t really a ‘super secret’ assignment but I did have to do some investigatory food journalism for my new freelancing gig. Fiancé was kind enough to join me last night. We frolicked around South Philadelphia in the cold. I was all bundled up!
Have you ever been to South Street in Philly? It’s a fun place!
I would like to happily report that I have been productive this morning! I turned off the TV, buckled down and got some writing done! It feels amazing to cross things off my list!
I finished my 2 scholarship essays (thanks for all the help with my diversity question!), wrote 2 (and a half) other articles, blogged and did a few other things. Feels good!
It warmed me right up! I LOVED the rice in this soup and the massive slices of carrots. They were very yummy! I must admit that I do avoid eating the chicken chunks in soups like these. Not sure why, but it sometimes freaks me out. But I loved the veggies and the rest of the soup! Very tasty!
In other news I think I am leaning towards running tomorrow. I am seriously a sucker for race bibs to add to my growing race board! It will feel good to run at ‘race pace’ for a good 5 miles in a new location, outside on snow free roads, with other runners!
Now my next problem is how to convince fiancé to wake up early tomorrow to come with me and cheer me on (and take pictures for the blog)! Maybe I will bribe him with breakfast!
Anyone else out there believe that they way to a man’s heart is through his stomach? Wish me luck convincing him to come! 🙂
