This morning I woke up bright and early like a kid on Christmas because I was so super excited to go to Disney’s Fit for a Princess Expo. I couldn’t’ wait to get there! I made my group show up 30 minutes before the doors even opened because I wanted to be one of the first people inside.
I was happy we got there early because we got a special greeting from our Fairy Godmother for the race tomorrow!
It was cute. She came out and was really excited about the race (and life in general!) and wished us all luck tomorrow! I think when I get older and retire I want to take her job! How fun would that be!
And then the doors opened! I was so excited. I had my credit card ready and rearing to go. I wanted to buy EVERYTHING Princess.
I tried on this crown, but I didn’t get it. I think I might pick one up AFTER finishing the race tomorrow and then wear it around the park for the rest of the day with pride. The rest of the Expo was overrated. There wasn’t much official merchandise, and what they did have was only so-so. They didn’t have much size varieties for anything. I feel bad for the people who came later in the day!
The Expo was held at the ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex which is pretty cool. I played soccer here when my team was in the National Championship competition. It brought back some nostalgia of back in my glory soccer days!
I also thought there would be more in the race swag bag. It was ok though. I like the shirt, but the sizes are all screwed up and mine is a little big. I also kind of wish the shirt was pink, but that’s just me!
I do enjoy the fact that my bib says “Princess Leslie” and it says Ariel on the bottom (my favorite princess!)
Who is your favorite princess?
We also got a bunch of info about other races with coupons, but I always loose this stuff in the shuffle!
I did purchase one thing at the Expo – A princess mug!
I love the heart on the side and the pretty pink logo. It was well worth the $10 bucks! I plan on drinking many a tea in this cup while reminiscing of my (hopefully!) fabulous half marathon! 🙂
Wish me luck in the morning! It’s going to be a 3 am wake up call! We have to be at the race by 4;30 to check bags and get in our coral! The race doesn’t start until 6:00! This is going to be nuts tomorrow, but hopefully it will be lots of fun and another great race to remember! Fingers crossed!
