I made it! I am finally here! It was a pretty stress free and easy flight. I got up this morning, made my green monster to finish off my big bag of spinach and was ready to go! I also brought along with me a BOT Beverage which was sent to me to try out. It was lightly lemon flavored and really yummy! The perfect way to start my travel day!
Fiancé was nice enough to wake up early and drive me to the airport. He’s the best! Before he drove off to work, he managed to snap a few pictures of me in all my waking up early glory!
I think I said to him: “I didn’t win anything, but I’m going to Disney!” Woohoo! I am still kind of embarrassed that I need 2.5 bags when I am going away for 4 days. I totally brought more zip up hoddies than days I am here, but they are different colors! I needed them! Better to be prepared, right?
The big ‘ol bag checked in a 48 pounds! It’s always a crap shoot for me whether or now I will have to unpack everything and take stuff out for a few pounds. This bag pretty much holds 50 pounds exactly, give or take a few, but its still always nerve-racking when I step up to the counter to check in!
The flight was off right on time, and we even got into Orlando 30 minutes early! And then my bag was one of the first bags off the baggage claim check. And then I only had to wait 10 minutes for my shuttle. It was like the clouds parted for me to allow me to have a stress free travel day. It was glorious!
After a short ride, bing, bang, boom, I was checked into my hotel room and all ready to go. I am the first one from our group here, the others won’t be in until later tonight. I am excited to have the rest of the afternoon to relax and unwind.
I made sure the hotel we were checking into had free wireless, it’s now a prerequisite for traveling with me. I must be able to get online on my computer.
I imagine the rest of my day will be spent here, laying on the bed, watching TV and surfing the net. A perfect little afternoon, if you ask me!
Before I set up shop on the bed I took a little tour of our hotel. They have a great indoor/outdoor pool right outside. It was kind of a magical moment when I stepped outside to see this.
I have to admit, I had a slight urge to jump right in! I did bring a bathing suit, but its still a little chilly down here today. Not sure if laying poolside is in my future this trip, but we shall see!
It was glorious to see the sun shining brightly in the blue sky. And I did a little hop when I saw the palm trees. I love them!
The rest of my tour was done checking out the gym. I have visions of running a few miles on these treadmills later.
After my tour I came back to the hotel to go through my bags and put out all the food I brought with me on the bed. I didn’t realize how much I brought with me! I brought so much!
Do you pack lots of snacks when you travel?
I brought so many goodies with me. I hope to spend minimal cash on food during this trip, so I brought lots of snacks with me.
I even brought cereal and oatmeal for the morning! Along with some travel sized peanut butter! I brought it all!
I think I even brought more snacks with me this year than I did last year! What do you think?
I also picked up this little Disney brochure! I can’t wait to map out all the fun rides I want to go on!
What’s your favorite Disney ride/park?
I love Disney. It really is the happiest place on earth! Last year I had a blast drinking my way through Epcot, seeing all the American Idol contestants on parade, and just having an all around goofy time with fiancé. I can’t wait to see what this trip has in store for me!
