You all know about my love for tea. A little while ago I got an awesome package from The Tea Spot. I was so excited to try all sorts of the teas that The Tea Spot offers.

One of my favorite things about The Tea Spot are their Steepware products. There are so many options to make loose leaf tea steeping simple and stylish!

I was sent the Tuffy Steeper to try out for myself! I love the bubblegum pink color! So pretty.

From the website: “Tuffy Steepers are collapsible silicone steeping baskets designed for easy storage, travel, & tea on-the-go. This durable, reusable, loose leaf tea filter is compatible with most traditional mugs. The lid also doubles as a saucer when your tea is done steeping.”

This steeper is awesome. I love the fact that it’s collapsible. I can just throw it in my purse and take it to work with me!

It’s so easy to clean and doesn’t seem to stain either.

I tried out some Vitality tea first. It’s caffeine free and the ingredients include – ginseng, licorice, peppermint, hibiscus, lemongrass, passion fruit, St. John’s wort and lemon flavoring.

Put one heaping teaspoon of tea in the steeper.

Add boiling water to a mug with the steeper inside.

Let it brew for the recommended amount of time. In this case it was 6-7 minutes. It smelled so good while it steeped.

After the steep time is done, remove the steeper and discard the used loose leaf tea.

And then sit back and enjoy.

Great idea! I'm always looking for a portable tea steeper to use at work…some are just not conducive to a desk far away from the kitchen. This looks like a nice one that I'll try. Thanks!

I'm new to tea — those pyramid tea bags from Lipton are my current fave — but I am so jealous of that hot pink tea steeper! WANT!

I use both loose tea and bags and enjoy them the same, but I do love that tea steeper and need to get me one of those – thanks for the offer from The Tea Spot.

    Hi Leslie,

Hope you're fully recovered from that epic half you did last weekend- congrats! Just wanted to make sure that you know that St Johns Wort- like you had in your tea leaf, makes the contraceptive pill much less effective/ineffective, and that some people have fallen pregnant when taking St Johns Wort by mistake- I don't know whether you use the pill, but just in case you, or any of your readers do – a massive heads up!
