I love cheese – All different glorious types of cheese. I love trying new cheese types and new cheese brands. Good cheese is one of my favorite foods!
One of the many perks of my Solixir gig is that I get to hang out at various Whole Foods throughout the week. I love spending time at Whole Foods because there is always something new and fun to try!
Since I started my job with Solixir I have made a few friends at Whole Foods, who are always willing to give me awesome food suggestions, which I take more than willingly!
My new favorite suggestion from one of my Whole Foods friends is this little gem of a mozzarella cheese log by the Crave Brothers.
This cheese is made by 4 brothers in Wisconsin (near Beloit, where I recently travelled!). Each of the brothers has a different job – one is in charge of Bookkeeping/Feeding, another is in charge of Crop Production/Maintenance, the third brother is the Herd Manager/Personnel Manager and the fourth is the Manager of the Cheese Factory. I think that is such a cool little story!
And for $7.99 for a pound of cheese, that’s a pretty good deal, if you ask me!
I decided to mix the cheese with equal parts Balsamic Vinegar and EVOO from Newman’s Own. The cheese is just as awesome on its own, but I wanted to add a little something to it!
I cut up the cheese in little cubes and put it in my Cali bowl and then topped with the oil and vinegar.
Kinda looks like tofu here, doesn’t it?
For me, when there is cheese, there is always wine… and that’s just how I roll.
I also paired the cheese with some crackers for some CRUNCH!
Sometimes all you need in life is some good cheese, crackers for crunching, a little wine, and a lot of puppy love!
