Hello, My Name is Leslie
It’s nice to meet you!
On 10-10-10 I will be running my first marathon in the wonderful city of Chicago!
I wanted to share with my readers the shirt I made for my big race! On one sleeve I wrote my motivational quote that I also have on my Road ID bracelet.
Run Like You Stole Something.
For some reason, this always makes me laugh!
I also wanted to represent the blog, so we got a little AndHerLittleDogToo.com action on the other sleeve!
I read in all sorts of forums that having your name on your shirt during a marathon really helps people cheer for you and that is the kind of support I will need towards the end of the race!
I am a bit nervous for my first marathon, I am not going to lie.
But my goal is to finish with a smile on my face, giving the race 100% of my effort while enjoying myself!
I am here to have fun!
When I decided to make myself a shirt, I knew I wanted to make my Superfans a shirt too!
Fiancé was nice enough to model the shirts I made for him, my parents, his parents and my brother. They will all be cheering me on at the race tomorrow, and I really appreciate them coming out to support me!
I got them all in green shirts to match my green shirt with the goal that hopefully this will make it easier for me to spot them in the crowd. *Fingers Crossed!*
I also put everyone’s name on the back and a big 10 to represent the date – 10-10-10!
What do you think of the shirts I made??
******************************************************
With all the people in town for the race, spectators and runners alike, the city has been bustling all day getting ready for the runners to hit the town!
I am excited just to get out there and get my run on!
Wish me luck on my first marathon!
