Can you believe it’s Halloween this weekend? Where did October go? It seriously flew by!
Even though I started this week with a fun giveaway, I figured I would end it with another one too, it’s Halloween after all, and there are lots of treats to go around!
I have posted on the blog many times before letting the world know that I have a serious sweet tooth. It’s not something I am ashamed of – I wear my sweet tooth with pride.
While I am a big fan of the occasional sweet, most of my go-to treats aren’t the healthiest options. I have been searching for something made with natural ingredients that will calm my cravings for some time now, and I am happy I found something I really like.
Enter Panda Licorice.
Here is a little licorice history for you : For thousands of years licorice has been believed to hold mystical healing powers. People have used licorice to ward off evil spirits and as a remedy for stomach complaints, as well as cough and chest infections.
Pretty cool, right? I never knew that about licorice!
Panda Licorice is all-natural and has no artificial colors, artificial flavors, preservatives, hydrogenated fats or salt. Panda is also suitable for vegetarian, vegan and Kosher diets. It comes in three flavors – original black, raspberry and cherry.
I am a big fan of licorice, it really is a great little snack. To me, its the perfect little sweet treat I need to calm my cravings. I am even a bigger fan of the soft-eating licorice, specifically the raspberry flavor! Yum!
The wonderful people at Panda sent me some awesome treats to enjoy this Halloween season, I have been snacking on their 100 calorie bars all month! So soft and delicious and I love that they are individually wrapped – it keeps me from eating a whole bag! They have been great for giving me a little energy boost before a run too!

I am going to give away the traditional Halloween candy! Sometimes, the traditional staples never get old!
I don't get trick-or-treaters since I live in Manhattan, but if I did I'd give out those mini Nature's Path bars, those look so cute and are relatively healthy!

We get tons of trick-or-treaters so we have about 6 bags of different treats: milk duds, kit kats, reese's PB cups, butter fingers, and assorted other mini bars. It's a little out of control…

I'm giving Annie's Bunnies & Goldfish crackers for Halloween. Yes, I get a few 'oh man, it's healthy'. Not quite as cool as the lady down the street known as 'the cheeto lady' – she gives bags of cheetos. Hey, maybe I'll visit her this year!

I don't know if we'll get any trick or treaters this year since we live in NYC. I might just buy some reeses or snickers in hope that we get a knock or two at the door. If not, I guess I'll have to treat myself!

Love black licorice – will have to try the Panda brand! I too have a serious sweet tooth and need to cut back on all the sugar – maybe Panda black licorice will do the trick for me.
