Welcome to Fall!

I would like to personally welcome you all to Fall in Philadelphia! It is officially here! YAY!

Fall is my favorite season to run in. I love the cool crisp air and the crunch of the leaves under my shoes.

I also love all the colors of the leaves on the ground! So pretty!

Today Lauren and I decided to do a little trail running in Wissahickon because we are both seriously sick of running on Kelly Drive.

I love running back on this trail. It is so peaceful and beautiful.

Lauren and I decided to run 11 miles today. She is training for another half in a few weeks and I am keeping up with my training so I figured it would be fun to go out and get some more miles under my belt for the week.

Not the greatest idea.

My legs got pretty sore and tight after 9 miles today. We kept a nice pace throughout most of the run, in the 9:30 range, but after 10 miles we stopped to walk for a bit.

Aside from feeling it the last few miles, the first 9 miles were lovely!

I love running with Lauren. We have a great time chatting about running and blogging and life that the miles fly by!

We stopped at our halfway point to do a little photo shoot.

You know how much we love our jumping pictures! This one says to me: “YAY FALL!”

I must admit, it took us a while to get the two pictures above. Here are the Outtakes:

Outtakes of jumping pictures always make me laugh!

Seriously, with pictures like these, what’s not to love about Fall?

What is your favorite season to run in?

Ok now…ready for a good laugh??

After our trail run we took a little trip to Target where I found this little gem:

I think everyone needs a full bodied pajama outfit, complete with footies! Haha! They had the penguin (this one), a pink puppy one, and a red sock monkey one! It was so fun to put one on!

I also think Fiancé and I should get matching ones for Christmas! 🙂 What are YOUR thoughts on this matter?

Off to take on the weekend!

I think you should absolutely look in to matching full bodied pajama suits and I don't know why you don't own one yet (or myself for that matter).

Let's start a trend and make it viral! heh, heh.

As for the run….nice work lady. And I love your jumping photos!!! But isn't it a pain to carry your camera while running?

I love to run in the fall because I don't get too hot and the smells are amazing.

I love those PJ's. I actually bought pink bunny ones last year and wear them all the time 🙂

You're clearly amazing for running that far a few days after a marathon! I mean seriously, not hurting until 9 miles? That speaks volumes of your training and recovery regimen. Go you 🙂

And those pajamas kind of scare me!

I agree with runnerstrials. that is amazing being able to run that far after a marathon! And those footie pajamas…they are a must. I immediately wanted to finish my breakfast drive to Target and buy like 5 pairs for holiday presents!

OMG you totally need to buy those pajamas!

And kudos for keeping up with your running.

Fall is my favorite time of year, that's when I got married! Jumping photos are awesome, they make me laugh too. Not so sure about that Penguin PJ outfit, but I guess it would be toasty warm. What would Jackson think?
