Favorite Things Friday

Since next week is Thanksgiving (seriously, this Fall has gone by at lightning speed!), I wanted to start a Favorite Things Friday post to go through the month of December. I will be posting things that I am really liking for the week (aka – my virtual Christmas list!) as well as holiday gift ideas. I hope you enjoy!

This week I am lusting after this amazing necklace from Kate Spade – It’s called OOPS A DAISY NECKLACE and I think it is beautiful! It’s on sale right now too! I might need this in my life for all the fun wedding related events that are planned for next year, right? Woohoo!

I am obsessed with my Lululemon Savasana wrap that I got a month ago. I wear it everywhere and its the most comfortable thing I own. I wanted to buy more in other colors but they sold out so fast! The next best thing to my beloved Savasana wrap is the new Awareness wrap – and the best thing about it is that it comes in my favorite lulu color – Wish Blue!

Love the color, love the hood, love the thumb holes, love it all!

I know I recently posted about my love for the local Bee Natural Beeswax candles and while my love for them still burns deep, I was distracted during a Target trip this week, by the amazing Chesapeake Bay Candles. I love all the fun scents (I got Pumpkin Pie, obviously!), but I really love the decorative jar it comes in.  I was able to easily tear off the label on the front of the jar and when the candle finishes burning, I can’t wait to store some fun jewelry in there! It’s a good size – 20 oz – candles are always fun to buy and make great gifts!

You all know I love my sweets and this week I picked up these amazing Milk Chocolate Marshmallows at Whole Foods and they rocked my world. They are an amazing holiday treat and/or a great hostess gift idea!

I am a total Gleek and my plans for next week’s Black Friday involve picking up this little number – The Glee Christmas Album! I have a little rule – No Holiday music before Thanksgiving, but luckily that is next week! Woohoo!

I also just ordered this book – Will Write for Food: The Complete Guide to Writing Cookbooks, Blogs, Reviews, Memoir and More! as suggested by Aly. I can’t wait to read it and see what it has to say!

What are some of your favorite things for the week? What do you think about my favorite things this week?

Happy Anniversary Bourbon Blue!

Remember earlier this Fall when I went on the new deck at Bourbon Blue? Well tonight was their 8th anniversary party and fiancé and I were there to celebrate!

The party featured an open bar an appetizers for two hours – who wouldn’t want to come celebrate this monumental occasion? Fiancé started off with a beer and I got a cucumber mojito.

We started off with the place to ourselves but as soon as the open bar deal started, it was a packed house!

The special for the night featured 3 olives drinks so I enjoyed a flavored one with club soda. It was delightful.

We sat at the bar and chatted with each other and then we were also joined by Aly – who is quickly becoming one of my favorite Philly bloggers!

While we were there we enjoyed some amazing treats from the new Bourbon Blue Fall/Winter menu.

Fiancé and I were excited to taste some new eats and drinks for the evening.

It was a glorious celebration this evening! Bourbon Blue is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants!
