Before I had my first taste of being a Superfan for the Philadelphia Marathon runners this morning, last night I had my first tequila flight!
Have you ever done a flight of tequila before? I never even heard of such a thing! But when Fiancé and I walked into Cantina Dos Segundos (which I have been to a few times before and LOVE!) and saw it on the menu, we knew we had to give it a go!
When in Rome, right?
While we waited for our Tequila flight, we snacked on some chips and dip, which are always amazing at Dos Segundos. I also texted Lauren and Eric to see if they were home because they live close by – I invited them to join us for a drink. Lauren is a trooper and came by to enjoy a beer as her pre-half marathon racing ritual!
Then our little flight of tequila finally arrived. Fiance and I shared the “Introductory to Tequila”
It had three not quite shots in mini shot glasses and some tomato juice (yuck!) to cleanse the palate.
The three tequila’s we tried were – 1) El Gran Jubileo Blanco 2) Corralejo Reposado and 3) Siembra Azul Anejo
We sipped on all three and I liked the last one the best – it tasted the least like burning in my mouth! Ha!
It was fun to taste the different types of tequila’s from white to dark – I am a fan of the darker ones myself. Not sure why, I just like it more!
Fiancé had fun tasting them too. We had never done a tasting like this before so it was fun to try something new!
Have you ever done a Tequila Flight before? What is your favorite type of tasting to do?
And the winner of the Allied Running Medal Hangers Giveaway is : Abby!
Congrats! Email me your info and which hanger you like and your prize will be sent your way!
Thanks again to everyone who entered!

How did you feel in the morning?? I did a sake flight that was really great. I think my favorite overall is wine, though. 🙂
My favorite is definitely wine. I'm too picky about beer and I don't really like liquor. But I'm all about a wine flight!
Does it taste different?? Between the light and dark I mean?
I'm not a drinker at all, but I'm curious about the difference 🙂
I am not a big drinker, in fact I could probably tell you how many drinks I have during the course of a year…if I could remember them when I do…lol…actually I may drink only once or twice a year…and unfortunately the first time I did tequila shots, I didn't even know it…until 3 weeks later when my friend "reminded" me that those were the drinks that put me into my silly stupor. I could be tempted though to try a tequila flight…it sounds like it could be tasty fun.
I've done a Martini Flight while on a fabulous cruise. The martinis were served in small glasses, trying about 12 different ones. Yummy Indeed!
