Here is how I spent my summer –
July 2010 – Started the month off pretty awesome. My picture appeared in a nationwide ad campaign for Solixir. Exciting stuff!
Did a little running in Valley Forge as the beginning of my marathon training.
I also completed my first brick workout as part of my triathlon training
We also had our first tasting for the wedding! Wedding cake makes me happy!
Then we moved into our new apartment
And ended the month with a trip to the Philadelphia Brewing Company
August 2010 – August started off with my first triathlon competition. It was long and hard and I drank more Schuylkill water than I wish to admit. But its cool to say that I completed a TRI!
During my Chicago trip I also got to visit the Frito Lay Factory in Beloit, WI. It was awesome to see how a chip becomes a chip!
I came back from Chicago just in time to celebrate Jackson’s 4th birthday !
Then we spent a day out on a pontoon boat with my family.
I also made lots of good eats this month! I created one of my most favorite meals ever – Spicy Thai Peanut Sprouts! YUM!
Made my first Risotto – Vidalia Onion & Feta. This was amazing.
Enjoyed my first Kale – it’s not scary! It’s yummy! Embrace it!
I also made my first yucca root creation. Yucca fries = awesome!
In September we also celebrated Kate’s 30th Birthday with a surprise party!
I also went to see Lady Gaga in concert with some lovely ladies.
Then I ran the Rock & Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon, otherwise known as my attempt at 22 miles.
I ended September and the Fall with a day on a Philadelphia Chocolate Tour with my lovely mother. It was choco-liscious! 🙂
