Salty Puppy Paws

Thanks to everyone for the kind words on my blog move. I am happy to announce that I officially made the move over to wordpress and signed up for self hosting yesterday! There were a few moments where I had to hold my breath and cross my fingers and hope and pray that all my posts and comments and pictures transferred over, but it all looks like it did and everything is in working order.

I don’t have the site up for you all to view yet, it’s currently under a temporary domain because I have to work on the look, but I am excited to change things up a bit! Lauren was a big help, I couldn’t have done it without her !!

From your comments it sounded like a handful of you are interested in doing something similar and are in the market to make the move to wordpress/self hosting. When I get everything up and running I will work on a post as to how I made the move!

In my current world, I woke up this morning to some fresh snow on the ground. Obviously, Jackson and I had to go check it out immediately.

It was a beautiful morning for a frolic with Jackson.

It’s hard to capture the falling snow with my camera. Here is my best attempt:

You can tell its snowing, right??

Behold Jackson – Snow Puppy!

I love the look of the white snowflakes against his grey fur.

I also love the look of newly fallen snow on pine trees. Don’t they look so much prettier like this?

It was fun to go on a morning walk with Jackson and snap some pictures.

I heart nature.

Snow really does make everything look gorgeous, wouldn’t you agree?

It was a gorgeous  morning outside with my favorite puppy.

We enjoyed our walk together.

The only thing Jackson didn’t enjoy was all the salt on the ground. He kept getting it stuck in his paws and then he would limp around. I would have to pick him up and get the salt out between his little toes before we could continue on.

Salt or no salt, what’s cuter than puppy paw prints in the ground?

Did you get hit by snow last night? I enjoy the amount we got this time, only around 3 inches as of now, which is pretty manageable, but its still falling. It does concern me a bit that its only the beginning of January and we have already had 2 storms and they are calling for snow 2 more times in Philly this week. Guess we will just have to wait and see!

No snow here, but we've got enough of it already in MN 🙂 I love the pictures of Jackson in the snow!

I think reading your blog is starting to become dangerous for me. I read your posts and look at your adorable pictures and all I can think is, "My life would be complete with a Jackson of my own." Only of the pug or Boston Terrier persuasion… Hehe.

Try wax for his paws to keep the salt out!

40 minutes northeast of Philly we only had about 1" when I woke up, maybe 2" now. We have these (a little silly looking, yes) booties for our greyhound. She does the same thing when walking on salt- the salt dries out her pads. We try to make her walk off of the sidewalk when we can see it's been heavily salted.

Jackson is so cute! He has the most expressive eyes. 🙂

No snow for me! YEAH, but they are calling for some next week – YUCK!
The snow does look beautiful and you and Jackson look so happy. Keep his little paws salt free!
