Got Goals?

My new job is big on goal setting, which I think is amazing. I have never been in a position before where I was urged to think long term about my health, career and personal goals – and when it came time for me to sit down and think about what I wanted for my future, it was easier said than done!

I had a hard time thinking of my life 10 years from now – I will be 36! Hopefully by then Charles and I will have a family and both be comfortable in our careers – but thinking about all I want to accomplish in my life between then and now is no easy feat!

One way to focus on goal setting is to sit back, close your eyes and imagine your life in 10 years. Where do you live? What do you do? What’s your family look like? What are some of your health, career and personal accomplishments?

I did that myself and came up with a little game plan for my life –

Here are some of my goals:

I treat my mom to a girl’s weekend in Las Vegas to celebrate her 60th birthday by September 30, 2011

I join the 50 States Marathon Club by November 30, 2016

I go to Africa on a safari with Charles by January 1, 2022

Just a taste of the 18 goals I have mapped out for myself between now and the next 10 years. It was a fun little activity and really interesting to see where I am now and where I want to go!

My favorite part was putting my vision board around my goals! This bad boy is currently hanging with pride in the showroom – it’s exciting to know that everyone that comes inside can read my goals!

Do you have goals? What are some of your 1, 5 or 10 year goals for your life? They can be career, health or personal goals! I would love to know what are some of the big things you have planned for your life!

Share your goals!
