Operation Hot Bride is down to the final wire. 10 days to go! I am currently upping my fruits and vegetable intake to look and feel my most fabulous on the wedding day, but I have a serious sweet tooth that needs tending to every now and then, which leads me right into today’s post:
Chocolate Crispy Treats
- 1.75 cups oats
- 1 cup brown rice puff cereal – I used Erewhon
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup flax seeds
- 1/4 cup coconut
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1 tsp. natural chocolate powder
- 1/2 cup agave
- 1/3 cup almond butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Mix dry.
- Mix wet – microwave if needed
- Stir wet into dry.
- Freeze in freezer until chilled
Anne and Kath’s creations called for brown rice syrup and sunflower butter, which allowed the mixture to be rolled into balls, but I decided to make rice crispy treat-like treats instead!
I spread the mixture into some sandwich Tupperware containers I had to give them a nice little shape. I then put them in the freezer for a bit to harden them up and before I knew it, they were ready to go!
A Perfect Chocolate Crispy treat – if I do say so myself!
It was crumbly, crunchy, chocolaty and delicious!
It definitely calmed my sweet tooth!
