What a fabulous 4th of July weekend! Charles, Jackson and I have had a blast at the beach!
Saturday morning I had an event in Margate, NJ for work so Charles and Jackson met me in Avalon. We then trekked all the way down to Cape May to make our way onto the Ferry and over to Delaware.
I had never taken the Cape May Ferry before so I was excited to check it out. They fit 100 cars on this boat!
Aside from saving us some travel time, it was lovely to sit on the top deck of the ferry and enjoy some sun and the cool breeze from the water.
Jackson enjoyed some shade,
While Charles and I enjoyed an adult beverage on the lounge chairs.
Not a bad way to travel if you ask me!
Jackson was a bit confused as to what was going on at first, but then he enjoyed relaxing too!
It was a quick little 90 minute boat ride from New Jersey to Delaware on the ferry.
Charles and I took in the view, while enjoying a beer
And Jackson hung out under the lounge chairs.
But obviously since it was Jackson’s first time on a ferry, we had to take some pictures to remember the occasion!
It was a bit windy for the little guy to smile for the camera.
But then we took a few good pictures.
The ferry’s were operating very frequently this holiday weekend. We saw one pass us on our way across the water.
Almost in Delaware!
I really enjoyed our ferry ride, but I was most looking forward to getting to Bethany to see my family!
The rest of the weekend with the family in Bethany Beach, Delaware has been a blast. We enjoyed margarita’s…
Had lots of laughs…
Spent some time poolside…
and enjoyed the beach…
I felt the sand between my toes…
Did dancer on the beach…
And had some fun teaching my family how to do jumping shots on the beach!
Some were better pictures than others!
The beach was packed for the 4th but it was so much fun to be by the ocean for the long weekend!
It was a very relaxing and fun-filled weekend!
Now we are off to find some fireworks!
