Wheatgrass Shots

Did you know that studies have shown that a 1 oz wheatgrass shot is equivalent to approximately 1.5 lbs of leafy green vegetables?

Sounds pretty awesome, right?

High in Chlorophyll, this green juice is significant for blood purification, liver detoxification, colon cleansing, and increased energy levels!

I learned these little wheatgrass fun facts from my frequent visits to Animo Juice Bar. I have been trying to have an ounce or two of wheatgrass a few times a week. I actually enjoy the taste (and the awesome benefits!) so its a nice little treat!

Are you a wheatgrass shot drinker?

Side Note: The entire time I typed this post, the song “Shots! Shots! Shots! Shots! Shots! Shots! Shots!” was in my head!

I used to work at a smoothie place, and take wheat grass shots every day. I remember having to plug my nose and try to chug everything, all the while not gagging up the wheat grass 🙂 Now that I eat differently tho, I think i could handle it a little better 🙂

We used to always get wheat grass shots in high school after soccer practice. I’m pretty sure we just thought it was cool though! I’d be interested to try it again!

What does it taste like and can you mix it with something else in case it tastes bad? Sounds like it’s very good for you though!
