In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Eggland’s Best invited me to be part of the “Eggland’s Best Double Dozen” that helps raise awareness and funding for the fight against breast cancer.
I have been a fan of Eggland’s Best for a LONG time – so I was excited to participate!
Eggland’s Best is proud to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and for the second year in a row, now through November 15th, for every pink carton of Eggland’s Best eggs sold, a donation will be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure up to $50,000.
I really love the little pink stamps, don’t you?
As part of the “Double Dozen,” this weekend I invited a few friends over to celebrate over brunch! I decided to make a few things prior to everyone arriving, but it was fun to cook continuously with everyone in the kitchen! I love a good kitchen party!
Some highlights of the party in terms of food include my take on the mini migas cups.
Cute & bite sized!
As well as baked eggs with lamb bacon, spinach & cheese.
The lamb bacon was from the FreshFarm Market by the White House .
It was very smokey!
This was the first time I ever made baked eggs and I am happy to report it was super easy.
You just put everything in these cute little ramekins and let the over work its magic!
These bad boys only needed to cook a few minutes in the oven, so it was fun to have people mix and match different ingredients to make each dish their own!
I also made a pretty killer Honey Cake for dessert.
It was amazingly delicious!
Did I mention we had mimosas? Because we did! Cheers!
I also was able to hand out coupons to those who came to the brunch so they could try out Eggland’s Best for themselves. It was nice to be able to share some of the Eggland’s magic with my guests – who doesn’t love a coupon for free eggs??
And now Eggland’s Best has a little giveaway for my amazing readers!

Live every day to the max! If every day was a Friday, would you look at life with a different attitude?
Dance as though no one is watching you, Love as though you have never been hurt before, Sing as though no one can hear you, and Live as though heaven is on earth. 🙂
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.
Our dreams can all come true – if we have the courage to peruse them. – Walt Disney
“There’s too many things I haven’t done yet; too many sunsets I haven’t seen.”
Those stamps on the eggs are too cute!
This is one of my favorite quotes: “the secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles – but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.” -buddha
“Who’s awesome? YOU’RE AWESOME!” courtesy of the Hulk Hogan printout someone put up on the outside of my cube area (still no idea who put it up). 🙂
Be grateful. Be grateful for having food, water and a roof above your head.
Those eggs are fantastic!
One of my favorite quotes is from an unknown source but I say it to myself when things start to suck: “No, it doesn’t ever get any easier. You wouldn’t want it to either.”
Okay, I need those ramekins in my life.
I’ve really been concentrating on this quote lately:
“In your life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, ’cause hate in your heart will consume you too.” ~ Will Smith
I do the race for the cure.
My inspirational comment is that I completed the Susan G Komen 60 Mile/3 Day for the Cure two weekends ago (DC’s) …if I can do it, ANYONE can! It was amazing to walk with survivors and people currently under treatment for breast cancer.
i became more aware that i need to take care of myself now and not later.
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2009. This pushed me way out of my safe zone and I did the Susan G. Komen 3 day for the cure last year and hope to do it with my husband next year.
How fun! I love the mini migas cupas, and I have never seen circular bacon before — adorable! I’m not really sure what to say that is inspirational, but I do have a bit of a personal connection to SGK. My aunt is a breast cancer survivor and author and is now a huge supporter of Susan G Komen. I recently donated a beanie for a raffle for her 3 day walk fundraiser. It was awesome to feel like I was a part of something bigger than just me!
Being mindful of the daily health choices I make, being grateful for all of the wonderful people in my life, and for all the little things.
I work at a college so every October I have my sorority women plan several fund raiser to raise money for breast cancer research. I am glad that we as a group of women are able to help each year.
What a great giveaway! I’ve started to eat eggs daily so this will benefit me plenty 🙂 And relating to breast cancer, my mom was diagnosed with it in 2005 a year after we moved from my first house to a brand new environment. It was the first reality check of my life, noticing that someone i love dearly could disappear in a flash of light. I hadn’t fully noticed how much i love my mom until i saw her in a hospital bed and going to chemo and radiation everyday.. 🙁
My mom is a breast cancer survivor of 5 years
thanks
Life every day to the fullest!
Love the Pink Ribbons too! Your eggs look delicious and so does the cake!
“The question isn’t will they let me? It’s, How will they STOP ME?”
Going to get the genetic test to see if I carry the breast cancer gene since my mother and grandmother both had breast cancer. Anyone ever done that here? Curious to know more…
Breast cancer is a charity that i support year around. I love that everything you buy to support it is PINK. I LOVE PINK!!! One thing I do every single year is give money through my BC awareness license plate. In GA we can suppoprt different causes through our license plates and mine is BCA.
Tell your loved ones that you love them as often as possible. You never know when it will be the last time you see them!
That which we manifest is in front of us.
I read it in the book The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein which I just finished last week. It basically means we control our own destiny. My new motto. 🙂
We do not remember days…we remember moments. cesare pavare
One of my favorite quotes. It reminds me that time is not measured by quantity as much as it is measured by quality.
Thanks for such an inspiring giveaway! My inspiring comment is:
Giving love creates love, being generous creates generosity, and being true to yourself creates truth 🙂
“When I get sad, I stop being sad, and start being awesome.” – Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother. I love that quote haha.
In honor of the late Steve Jobs: “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life … Stay hungry. Stay foolish.” (Stanford Commencement, 2005)”
Stop talking about it…do it!
{I’m quickly learning doing it is far better than talking about it – it all started with the leap of faith that got us to move across the country without jobs just to follow a dream!}
Both of my grandmother’s have had breast cancer, though caught in the early stages and only went through radiation. My mom is still in the clear, but you never know…
My inspiring statement is to “do unto others as you wish them to do unto you.” I think that if you treat people how you would like to be treated yourself, things will be a whole lot nicer in the world.
Love those pink ribbons on the eggs!
Celebrate small victories!
My aunt was diagnosed 4 years ago with breast cancer. She taught me that with laughter and a positive attitude, anything is possible. Her attitude made her survive when the doctors said she had a small chance!
My grandmother had breast cancer (and needed a double mastectomy and chemo). My mother and I are very vigilant with self-checks and are both bery involved in encouraging others to become their own advocates.
Every year at work, I organize our corporate team to participate in the “Making Strides” walk, and I also coordinate with our corporate wellness team to hold info sessions, demonstrations and learning sessions throughout the month of October.
Breast cancer affects all women, and it is important to do self-exams regularly, eat in moderation, and stay active!
Cancer affected my life because it took my mother (and grand mother and grand father and god father etc etc) and I’m not sure if this is raising awareness but I “do my part” by making hats that I donate to the cancer tree at mgh (where my mom was treated)
I LOVE Eggland’s Best. They have become my favorite egg. I wish there was something other than cancer that we all seem to know someone who has had or been effected by cancer. My most recent fundraising effort was running a 5K with my dog Reddick to raise money for Critters for a Cure – a local organization that raises money for women with breast cancer.
I love this Steve Jobs quote:
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart even when it leads you off the well worn path; and that will make all the difference.”
Oh wow, what a great partnership for a company to be a part of!
Whether I’m having an up day or a down day, I always try to remember, each day that comes to us is a new day – a chance for new experiences, new triumphs, new love and new lessons. New chances to grow and explore and spread more light into the world than we did the day before!
My best friend’s mom passed away from breast cancer. I’m running the Women’s Half Marathon (my first!) on November 6th in her honor!
do something kind for someone every day and it will come back to you in more ways then you know!
I just could not leave your site before suggesting that I actually enjoyed the standard info a person supply to your guests? Is gonna be back steadily in order to check out new posts
I think that everyone needs to find the things in life that make them happy, contented, and loved and concentrate on having those things surround them.
