My 40 Days has officially come to an end! I can’t believe its officially over and I can eat and drink whatever I desire again without any restrictions. It’s going to be weird not having to meditate or do yoga every single day, but I have really come to love practicing so consistently.
The hardest part of the cleanse was the first day of the fruit cleanse. Since then I have really come to know that my body doesn’t need as much to be fully fueled, if you eat right! It was really amazing to feel the difference within myself that comes from eating only whole foods – lots of fruits, vegetables & whole grains – for 40 days straight. It’s amazing how before the 40 Days I was all about the fruit, and now after 40 Days, I am all about the veggies!
I plan to continue the main part of the 40 Days eating plan during the week and then allow myself to “cheat” a bit on the weekends. I hope to incorporate as much yoga as possible during the week as I can, alternating running & yoga too!
Another plus to the 40 days was the weight loss! I lost about 10 pounds during the fruit cleanse week, after the cleanse when I started incorporating more food back into my diet, my weight loss has maintained a 5-7 pound loss from the start! Win!
But with tonight being Friday, I say bring on the vino!
In the future I plan on attempting a week long juice cleanse! But I am going to give my body a break from all the cleansing for a while now.
