This weekend, Charles and I went on a lovely ski vacation to Okemo, VT with my in-laws and a rather large group of their friends. We drove the 6 hours up to Vermont on Thursday, had a lovely 2 full days of skiing on Friday & Saturday and made our way back to NJ last night. Here are some pictures from our ski weekend in Vermont!
Okemo was very similar to Stratton, which is where we skied last year, except Okemo was larger. I love how we make the time every year to hit the slopes at least once, it’s a ton of fun once you get out there and ski!
Okemo had just gotten a few inches of snow this past week and on Friday night so there was a really nice fresh layer of snow on the ground. It was lovely to see the complete winter white snow covering the trees considering the mild winter we have been having in Philadelphia!
My favorite part of skiing may or may not be the recommended beer at lunch!
I love me some Long Trail!
A great view from the top of Mt. Okemo.
Charles getting his ski on down the slopes!
And after a hard day on the slopes, a hot chocolate with Bailey’s was calling my name!
Seriously, how amazing does this look?
All in all we had an amazing weekend skiing in Vermont. Thank you to our in-laws for the lovely time. Hopefully we will be able to hit the slopes again next year! Maybe a little skiing out West is in order?!
Where is your favorite mountain to ski?
What is your favorite post-skiing drink of choice?!
