Stand Up Paddle board
Yesterday I did something new.
I tried paddle board yoga for the first time with my team from work.
Obviously we had an absolute blast.
It was really great to get out on that paddle board and hit the water. It took a little bit to find my balance but once I did, I was good to go.
Paddle boarding isn’t as easy as it looks, especially when you are going against the current! I was surprised as to how slow I was at getting going and how much upper body & arm strength it takes to move the board – but once you got into the groove, it was really calming & peaceful out there gliding across the water.
My favorite part of the day was finding out all sort of fun tricks you can do on the board – combined with the fact that everything is twice as difficult to do when you are on moving water.
A little wake makes a big difference.
But I was so proud of myself for mastering a headstand on the board.
Looks pretty cool, right?
