Shake Shack in Philly

Last week Sabrina & I hit up Shake Shack in Center City. This location just opened up this past June so it is still pretty new – I hadn’t been before so I was excited to check out their burgers.

The menu is pretty straight to the point – it features burgers, hot dogs,  fries and milkshakes. I like how they kept it simple. It IS a burger joint after all! They also offer beer & wine which is an added bonus (in my opinion!)

Shake Shack also has a mini menu for the pups.

I ordered the ShackBurger with cheese.

The burger was very tasty but I have to say that the size of it was perfection! It wasn’t so big where it was too much for me to finish and it wasn’t small enough to leave me wanting more. It was the perfect amount of hamburger. I left feeling satisfied, not guilty for enjoying a burger – it was a great feeling!

The fries were super tasty too. You can see in the photo how good they look….they were that good!

I didn’t know how big the meal was going to be so I held off ordering a milkshake but next time I would totally get one to complete the meal. People around us had them and they looked YUM!

Inside the restaurant has a great vibe too – its decor features reclaimed brick floors from old Pennsylvania steel mills, and wooden furniture and walls certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council.

I loved how the tables were once part of a bowling lane! Cool, right?

Yum! I love Shake Shack in NYC (hope to go there this weekend, in fact)! The Philly location looks so cool. I heard they are also getting one in Chicago, which makes me wish they had one when I still lived there. 🙂 But we’ve found a great place in AZ with a great name: Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers!

As a NYC gal, i love me some shake shack. The shack burger (single) is still my favorite burger with the cheese fries. Dairy hurts my tummy but the few sips of the vanilla milkshake I have had were deelish.
Curious, each SS has their own signature concrete specific to the location. What is the Philly concrete?
(Wall Street location has a Wall-Nut Concrete with maple custard)
