With our trip to the Bahamas fast approaching {we leave tomorrow!} I have been on a mission to clean out the fridge. Sure, we are only really going for a glorified long weekend, but waste not – want not, am I right? With that mentality I have been juicing anything & everything in sight.

I have been pretty much sticking to the green juice recipe – with a few additions & subtractions here and there – but today I made something I haven’t made before:

Blood Orange Juice

I am obsessed with blood oranges. I think they are amazing – I love how they look, I love how they taste, I look forward to them anytime I can get my hands on them in the supermarket. Today I had a few leftover from the bag I purchased last week – 5 in total – so I decided to start my day off with a little blood orange juice!

got juice

I didn’t add anything to it, only a few ice cubes to give it a chill. Turned out pretty nice – like orange juice {obviously} but it had a little extra kick to it. This would also be fun to make fresh for blood orange margaritas – my favorite!

In other news we woke up to a bit of a surprise this morning. Someone smashed in the passenger side window of Charles’ car & stole the airbag from the steering wheel.

You got to love city living.

Almost as bad as when my bike got stolen. So we are currently dealing with that at the moment. It happened to a few cars on the same block last night, all in a row, so we weren’t the only ones. Not the best thing to happen before we go away for the weekend, but you got to do what you got to do.

Off to figure out what’s going on with the car, finish packing & get ready to leave bright & early tomorrow morning!

Happy Wednesday.

Really sucks that someone did that to Charles car – Hope the police can catch the vandals. The Blood OJ looks awesome and yes, that would be perfect for the Margaritas!

we are so lucky to be on the 7th floor of our garage. I hate driving up it, but I know that if we were on the street or lower levels they have issues all the time. Sorry what a bummer!!

ok and now I want a blood orange
