#culinarychic

Greetings! Today I wanted to share with you my recent experience with Lean Cuisine. As part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker program I was given the opportunity to test out some of Lean Cuisine’s latest Chef’s Pick products.

I was given 3 coupons to pick out 3 different meals with the Lean Cuisine Chef’s Pick label – these dishes are restaurant-inspired culinary creations. It has been a while since I have had a meal like this that you heat up in the oven {also, we don’t have a microwave, so it makes meals like this take a little longer than normal}, but I was excited to try out the new product for myself.

Chili Lime Chicken

I had these 3 dishes over 3 different meals this past week – First up is the Chili Lime Chicken – white meat chicken in a red chili lime sauce with a medley of roasted corn, peppers and rice.

2.5 grams of fat, 240 calories, 2 grams of fiber

It was very tasty! I enjoyed the chicken, sauce & veggies – it had a great kick to it!

Next up is Chicken Makhani – white meat chicken in a indian-style tomato sauce with a side of rice, almond slivers, peas & carrots.

7 grams of fat, 300 calories & 3 grams of fiber

This was something new for me – I wouldn’t normally reach for something like this, I don’t have much experience with Indian flavors but it was pretty good.

Finally there is Chicken with Basil Cream Sauce – grilled white meat over cheese tortellini with italian green beans, red bell peppers & yellow carrots.

6 grams of fat, 230 calories & 2 grams of fiber.

Chicken with Cream sauce

This was my favorite – I loved the chicken, pasta & veggies combination, I would totally buy this again – Creamy & delicious!

All in all, it was a great tasting experience. This is not something I would normally buy or eat on a daily basis, but after trying it out, I would pick up one to keep in the fridge to make for an easy meal. I also enjoyed the fact that it was very portion controlled – keeps you from overeating. I usually go for fresh protein & vegetables whenever possible but this was a tasty, filling, low calorie meal that I enjoyed.

What’s your favorite go-to, in a pinch, quick {healthy} meal?

I have partnered with Lean Cuisine through DailyBuzz Food to help promote their new line of Chef’s Pick products. I have been compensated for my time commitment to work with this product. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments. Thank you Lean Cuisine!
