twice

Have you heard of twice?

twice

Twice is an online store that buys & sells lightly used secondhand clothing. It’s a company that launched last March – with the goal of allowing customers to buy secondhand items as easy as buying them new, but for less!

So here’s how it works – you can shop online at the store, just like any other online shop. You also have the option of selling your gently used items {for cash!} to twice. They provide the shipping label & cover the cost to send  your items to them.

twice contact

Twice just asks that the items you send in items from within the past 5 years, are on their brand list and are clean & damage free. If it’s something you would give to a friend, it’s something you should send in!

Once you send in your bag ‘o clothes – you get paid in 1-2 weeks. Easy peasy, right?

ABCs

So you ship anything & everything you are interested in selling to twice – then you receive an offer from them on your clothes. You will get paid in cash via Paypal or you have the option of earning 25% more by getting paid in twice store credit.

If you are unhappy with your offer, your clothes can be returned to you for $5 {shipping costs}. Or you can have the un-purchased clothes donated.

did you know

I ended up sending a big bag of clothes to donate myself. It was awesome to go through my closet and really see what I could do without. It felt good to clean some stuff out & find a few items that could go to a new home.

Another awesome option for selling clothes to Twice is you have the option to request a bag with a shipping label, which they will send to you – or you can print out a label that they create for you and send your items right away in your own packaging.

And check it out – I sent in a big bag of clothes  & I made $33.00! Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.

If you are interested in checking out twice for yourself, use this link to get $10 credited towards your first purchase.

congrats!

If you aren’t all about it just yet (because I totally am!) here are some more fun facts from Twice:

  • The average household throws out 175 lbs of clothing every year – Twice is helping it find a new home.
  • Clothing Donations for Good: Whether we’re able to buy them or not, the clothes you send to Twice always end up in a good home. All of our donated items go directly to Goodwill Industries of San Francisco. Most weeks we’ll deliver around 2000 lbs of garments! These donations help Goodwill create jobs and provide affordable clothing to our neighbors in the San Francisco community. Who knew cleaning your closet could do so much good?
  • Reduce & reuse – Every year, households in the U.S. send over 20 billion pounds of clothing to landfills. We want to reverse this trend by making it easy to give your old clothes a new life. Whether you’re selling to us or buying from us, using Twice cuts down on the number of clothes in the world. It’s an easy, effective step towards sustainability that anyone can take.

I used Twice a couple of weeks ago! It seemed a lot easier than trying to bring my clothes to a consignment store and waiting until they sold. I made $46 easy for clothes I hadn’t worn in a while. The only downside is that they don’t take certain brands that I was hoping to bring to consignment. Still worth it!

Wow! That is awesome, I am going to have to look into it. I have boxes of clothes I have been meaning to take it. That seems a lot easier.

What a great idea, couldn’t be easier to donate and get some cash for your unwanted items! I usually donate about 6 times a year to one of the local charities, but haven’t made a dime – so you are much smarter than I.
