And Her Little Favorite Blogging Tools

and her little favorite blogging tools

Today I wanted to share with you some of my new favorite blogging tools that I have been obsessed with using lately! These are just a few of my favorite tools, tips & tricks for blogging that I use on a daily basis – they keep me organized & make things a little easier for me.

Feel free to try them out for yourself, let me know what you think & share what YOUR favorite blogging tools are!

picmonkey

1) How I Make All My Pictures Pretty: I have gotten a few questions on how I have been creating some of my pictures and images on the blog and I wanted to let you in on my little secret – PicMonkey. PicMonkey has helped me edit each & every photo, add text & create collages. Instead of spending $$ on Photoshop, PicMonkey can be used for free – or you can get the premium membership for $33 a year {which comes out to $2.75/month – totally worth it!} I’m obsessed with it – you can even link it to your Facebook account to edit photos there as well.

2)The Best Linking Tool Ever:  If you aren’t using bit.ly yet – you really need to join in on the fun! I use bit.ly for all my links – and I have even got back in my blog to add them in & update. It’s an awesome way to organize all your links and better yet you can keep track of your link stats – It can show you how many people have clicked on your short link, dates, times, referrers – it’s sort of like a little google analytics for each & every link you use. I love using it to see what my most popular links are – what everyone is clicking on – it helps me get a better gauge for what everyone is really reading. bit.ly is super easy to use & totally free!

3) Pinterest Source Coding: I learned a new little trick a few weeks ago that I am now obsessed with & I couldn’t wait to share it with you! Pinterest is so big right now & getting bigger everyday – I think a huge part of increasing the exposure of your blog is making things more “pin-able” – seeing what is being pinned from your own site is super important in being knowledgable about your brand & it’s very easy to see – simply use this code

or feel free to check out mine below – to see yours, add in your own web site address!

4) Easy To Use Mobile Blogging –  I just figured out {read: Today!} how to get my blog up and running on a mobile site – it was quick & easy and will make accessing my blog for my readers via a smartphone super easy. I used DudaMobile to set it up and it took literally less than 5 minutes. The easier you allow your readers to access your blog, the better!

5) Keep it Consistent – I use Gravatars – which is a globally recognized avatar to keep my And Her Little Dog Too image consistent from site to site. Again, super easy to set up – especially if you have all your passwords saved on your favorite sites – it just immediately connects everything.

I am a big believer in keeping your brand consistent with your logo throughout all aspects of the Social Media spectrum. For example my Facebook {And Her Little Dog Too}, Twitter {@herlittledogtoo}, Instagram {HerLittleDogToo}, Pinterest {herlittledogtoo} and email {andherlittledogtoo AT gmail} are all the same name and have the same logo/image. Makes it easier for readers to connect my other social media outlets with my blog!

I don’t even know how I finished up here, however I believed
this publish used to be great. I don’t realize who you are
but certainly you are going to a well-known blogger should you aren’t already.

    Cheers!
